Transportation

For Drivers:  You will receive a printable parking pass via e-mail.  The pass must be displayed on the car dashboard throughout the conference.  

There is no public transportation between the Atlanta airport and Carrollton, Georgia.  Those arriving at the Atlanta airport may either rent a car or take the conference shuttle service described below.  Taxis and commercial shuttles between the airport and Carrollton may cost between $90.00 and $130.00 each way.  For commercial transportation, please scroll to the bottom of this page.

Rental Cars

All major rental car agencies are available at the Atlanta airport.  The University of West Georgia in Carrollton is an easy drive of approximately 45-60 minutes from the Atlanta airport.  See the 'Directions' link on the conference home page for directions.

University of West Georgia Limited Shuttle Service 

For those who will take advantage of the free conference shuttle from the Atlanta airport to Carrollton, the schedule is below. October 25: Deadline for submitting airport arrival times for those wishing to take advantage of shuttle service. (Participants should plan to arrive no later than 3:15 p.m. in order to take advantage of shuttle service to Carrollton.) Email flight number, arrival time, and cell phone number to Jeffrey Zamostny at uwgconference2013@gmail.com.  Due to the Atlanta airport’s size and the time needed for passengers to reach Ground Transportation after deboarding, participants’ planes should arrive at least 45 minutes before the scheduled shuttle departure time to allow adequate time to reach the shuttle.    

Directions to the shuttle:  After picking up your luggage, please proceed to the South Terminal, lower level and look for the University of West Georgia bus.  Please call one of the contact numbers sent via e-mail if you cannot find the vehicle or if your flight is delayed.   

Please note: If your flight comes in at the North Terminal, you will need to walk to the other side of the building to the South Terminal. If you arrive in the International Terminal, you will need to go to the Domestic Terminal South (Concourse T).
