MALES

 

The MALES living-learning community is for men who are interested in leadership development, outdoor activities, and intramural sports. each semester will open with a community adventure.  Students participate in specialized programming such as outdoor skills and leadership development programs. Community partners will coordinate outdoor adventure trips and offer programs on topics such as academic success, men’s health, and gender issues.   

MALES students may only select other MALES students as their roommates. MALES participants are required to pay a $20 special interest housing fee each semester to fund specialized community features.  A housing application must be on file in order to be considered for the MALES community.  Remember to also select this Living-Learning Community and hall preference on your housing application for fullest consideration.

The Oaks 1000 building- 1st floor, male students only

Can I live in this LLC with someone who is not participating in the program?

Sorry, but no.  All students living in the rooms designated for the MALES community must participate in the MALES program. 

Are there required courses? 

Yes.  Students in the community are required to enroll in a special section of UWG 1101 that will meet in the hall during the fall semester.

To whom is the community open?

The MALES community is for first-year, male students only.
