Global Social Change
Description
The Global Social Change Learning Community is oriented to students interested in the social sciences (sociology, political science, anthropology, criminology, psychology, human geography). Its emphasis is on social change brought about by trans-national social movements such as Human Rights Watch, the Zapatistas, trans-national labor unions, Greenpeace, global Pentecostalism. Global social changes are also promoted by international migration, population trends, and the emergence of new forms of trans-national identities and global governance structures.
