The Homecoming Parade will line up at Westover Square on Maple Street (point A). The parade will follow Maple Street west going across the frontage of the main campus to the west entrance of campus. The parade will then turn right onto West Georgia Drive beside the Donald R. Wagner Honors House. The parade will go around the west side of campus passing by the Coliseum, the School of Nursing, and the Bookstore. The parade route turns left onto University Drive in front of the TLC and ends at the Greek Village (point B).
All students are invited to gather in front of the Bonner House near Front Campus Drive for breakfast and to watch the parade, sponsored by the Department of Housing and Residence Life.
Alumni are invited to gather outside the School of Nursing building after the President's Breakfast and Annual Meeting to watch the parade. Alumni attending the Class of 1963 Brunch at the Alumni House are invited to gather at viewing stands beside the Wagner Honors House.
If your Greek or registered student organization, athletic team, or residence hall/floor would like to feature their organization through a float, decorated vehicle, or novelty/walking entry, please refer to the 2013 Homecoming Packet for the rules, deadlines, and the entry form. All entry forms must be turned in to the Center for Student Involvement by Friday, September 6 at 5:00pm.
TRAFFIC NOTE: The following stretch of roads will be closed for the duration of the parade:
- Maple Street between Matthews Avenue and West Georgia Drive (West Entrance)
- West Georgia Drive between Maple Street and University Drive
- Wolves Parkway between West Georgia Drive and Victory Circle
