We cordially invite everyone to join us for the 2015 Homecoming Parade at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26! This event is free and open to the public!
Parking: Parking for the parade viewing is avaiable prior to the parade starting and is denoted by the teal boxes on the map. You are welcome to view the parade anywhere along the route (denoted in blue).
Route (denoted in blue): The Homecoming Parade will line up along West Georgia Drive at the east entrance of campus next to McDonalds and West Georgia Village (green line). The parade will start at the intersection of West Georgia Drive and Maple Street and will follow Maple Street west going across the frontage of the main campus to the west entrance of campus. The parade will then turn right onto West Georgia Drive beside the Donald R. Wagner Honors House. The parade will go around the west side of campus passing by the Coliseum, the School of Nursing, and the Bookstore. The parade route turns left onto University Drive in front of the TLC and ends at the Greek Village.
Alumni are invited to gather outside The Coliseum after the President's Breakfast and Annual Meeting to watch the parade. Alumni attending the Campus Radio Reunion at the Anthropology Building are invited to gather on front campus along Maple Street to view the parade.
TRAFFIC NOTE: The following stretch of roads will be closed for the duration of the parade:
- Maple Street between West Georgia Drive East (next to McDonald's) and West Georgia Drive West (next to the Donald R. Wagner Honors House)
- West Georgia Drive between Maple Street and University Drive/Brumbelow Road and between South Street and Maple Street
- Wolves Parkway between West Georgia Drive and Victory Circle
- University Drive/Brumbelow Road between Lovvorn Road and West Georgia Drive
