The Office of Institutional Research and Planning (IRP) at the University of West Georgia was established in 1967. On March 1, 2014, the office began its transition to an Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment (IEA). As part of this transition, the office retains its duties of being responsible for providing timely, accurate, and unbiased data and statistical analyses to support data-informed decision making, planning, and assessment efforts across campus. IEA continues to provide data and analysis for the executive administration, as well as the broader University community, external audiences, and consortia. The Office also coordinates the submission of reports to external agencies and accrediting bodies.
