On March 1, 2014, Institutional Research and Planning began its transition to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment (IEA).  As part of this transition, IEA has responsibility for Institutional Research, Institutional Effectiveness, Assessment, SACSCOC Accreditation, Open Records, and Records Information Management. The office retains its duties of being responsible for providing timely, accurate, and unbiased data and statistical analyses to support data-informed decision making, planning, and assessment efforts across campus. IEA continues to provide data and analysis for the executive administration, as well as the broader University community, external audiences, and consortia. IEA also coordinates the submission of reports to external agencies and accrediting bodies.
