Newnan Campus to Offer MBA

Monday, June 11, 2007

The University of West Georgia will begin offering a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at its Newnan campus this fall.  This MBA program is open to business and non-business degree graduate students and registration is ongoing, ending July 27 for the fall classes.

Students who do not have a business degree and wish to earn an MBA will complete an independent study program that is self-paced and takes less time than the conventional requirements of one to two years of additional business classes.

The graduate program is scheduled one day a week and is a major asset for the Newnan area, said Dr. Jon Anderson, director of the MBA program and associate dean of the Richards College of Business.

“Prospective MBA students in the Newnan and Peachtree City areas will have access to an AACSB accredited, high quality MBA program,” said Anderson. “The program is flexible and affordable and offers a unique opportunity for the community.”

The RCOB is listed by The Princeton Review in its Best 282 Business Schools 2007 edition and has been recognized for its WebMBA program as one of the best buys in the country. The MBA program has been accredited since 1984 and is also offered on the UWG campus.
