UWG's Print Shop awarded
The Printing and Imaging Association of Georgia awarded two city of Carrollton printing firms top honors at its Print Excellence Awards Gala at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. The Department of Publications and Printing at the University of West Georgia received the Best Creative Use of Paper Award for its Centennial Celebration Gala dinner program and awards for 11 additional printed pieces. Thomasson Printing Company won the Best Process Color Printing Award for its production of an Atlanta Braves season ticket brochure. Accepting the awards are (l-r) Sally Roberts, director of the UWG Department of Publications and Printing, and Tommy Thomasson, division president of Thomasson Printing. More than 1,100 printing pieces were submitted in the competition.
