FNBG sponsors Run for A DAY
If you want to catch up with the leadership of this year’s First National Bank of Georgia Run for A DAY and benefit the annual community fundraiser, put on your running shoes and get moving! The Run for A DAY is scheduled on Thursday, Oct. 4, beginning at 5:15 p.m. at the University of West Georgia campus.
First National Bank of Georgia will once again sponsor the Run for A DAY, which supports student scholarships at the University of West Georgia. Participating in the FNBGA sponsorship are (l-r) Linda Picklesimer, race director; Mary M. Covington, executive vice president of FNBGA; Rocky Lipham, CEO of FNBGA; Cindy Denney, 2007 A DAY chair; Jay Gill, 2007 A DAY co-chair; and Dr. Andrew Leavitt, executive director of the University of West Georgia Foundation, Inc.
Since 2001, FNBGA has underwritten the expenses to allow 100 percent of the registration fees to go directly to student scholarships at the University of West Georgia.
“Investing in the lives of University of West Georgia students will, in turn, be an investment in our community,” said Rocky Lipham, CEO of the FNBGA.
