Love Valley

Utilized for multiple purposes, the two-acre Love Valley serves as one of many places on campus where students, faculty and visitors can enjoy the majesty of nature.

The campus of the University of West Georgia is known for its naturally beautiful landscape. All throughout the year, the rolling hills and lush fields are used for many different events that appeal to both the UWG and local community. One such venue that has become an important fixture within the West Georgia scenery is well-known Love Valley.

Utilized for multiple purposes, the two-acre Love Valley serves as one of many places on campus where students, faculty and visitors can simply enjoy the majesty of nature. Having received the 2007 Regents Award for Excellence as part of the Love Valley/Student Center Project, Love Valley has been recognized for both its beauty and practical uses.

Students can take in the beautiful scenery at Love Valley.“The campus architecture enhances West Georgia’s precious natural beauty and stands as inspiration for the future architectural design solutions of the campus,” said Linda Daniels, vice chancellor for Facilities in the University System of Georgia. “The nature and use of public green space continues to be a defining element in our lives.”

For many years, Love Valley has been home to several yearly events, including the Welcome Back Celebration, Spring Fling, Earth Day Celebration and other student-sponsored events. It also serves as a place where students can just hang out and take time to break away from their hectic schedules.

UWG’s Love Valley serves as both an event venue and a place of natural enjoyment. Whether taking the time to attend a concert or enjoy the exquisite wonder of Mother Nature, Love Valley provides something for just about everyone.
