The UWG Wolves football team claimed a come-from-behind 39-35 victory over Delta State, the No. 1-ranked team in Division II, in front of an enthusiastic crowd at University Stadium on Saturday. The win marked the first time that a UWG football team had beaten a team ranked No. 1 nationally.

The University of West Georgia’s Ingram Library received a grant from the American Library Association (ALA) and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to host “Let’s Talk About It: Making Sense of the American Civil War,” a five-part reading and discussion series that will begin on Sunday, Jan. 15, with subsequent discussions on alternate Sunday afternoons through March 11.

Acting on a charge from Gov. Nathan Deal, the Board of Regents approved a draft plan that commits the University System’s 35 institutions to increase college completion. The plan also outlines a new agreement with the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) aimed at improving students’ ability to move between the two systems and earn degrees.
