Governor’s Office Awards $12,000 Grant to UWG (11/29/2012)

The University of West Georgia has joined forces with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) to educate young adults about distracted driving and alcohol abuse, including underage drinking and impaired driving. The UWG Department of Health Services has once again earned a $12,000 GOHS grant award annually since 2004.

Wolves Basketball Schedule Change Also Gives Opportunities for Free Admission (11/27/2012)

The UWG basketball program kicks off Gulf South Conference play this week, first taking on Alabama-Huntsville on the road on Thursday. Saturday's originally scheduled games against Shorter have been moved to Sunday, December 3 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

UWG Announces Partnership with Greenway Medical (11/26/2012)

The University of West Georgia formally announces a sponsorship agreement with Greenway Medical Technologies. Under the agreement, West Georgia’s new Athletic Operations Building (AOB) will officially be titled the “Athletic Operations Building, sponsored by Greenway, Inc.”

UWG Students Warm the Hearts of Struggling Pet Owners (11/16/2012)

No one should ever have to choose between feeding their pets or feeding themselves. UWG’s Pi Sigma Alpha, a political science society, is conducting a pet food drive Nov. 12 - 30 to help the furry friends whose owners are short on funds but not on love. Pet food donations can be made in the Pafford Building, room 140.
