The University of West Georgia is honored to welcome Muhammad Yunus, a banker and economist who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006. Yunus will present a free lecture at the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts today at 3 p.m.

Irvine S. Ingram Papers Open for Research (8/11/2010)

The papers of Irvine S. Ingram, president of West Georgia College from 1933 to 1960, have been processed and are now open for research in Ingram Library’s Annie Belle Weaver Special Collections on the University of West Georgia campus in Carrollton. The Irvine S. Ingram papers contain a wealth of information not only on the educator who led the college for many decades, but also on the development of higher education in Georgia during the 20th century.

Parents' Day at Ingram Library (8/2/2010)

On Sunday, August 8, Ingram Library will host “Parents’ Day at the UWG Library” in conjunction with “Move In Day” for new University of West Georgia students. Students, parents, and others assisting new students on “Move In Day” are invited to come by the Library between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to have refreshments and learn about the Library’s academic success-enhancing resources.
