Ashford Named to Governor's Teaching Fellows (8/9/2011)

Dr. Susan Ashford, an assistant professor of nursing at UWG, has been selected to participate in the Governor's Teaching Fellows 2011-2012 Academic Year Symposium Program. Ashford's award speaks to her commitment to teaching excellence and desire to continuously improve her instructional capabilities, said Dr. Myrna Gantner, associate vice president for academic affairs, in a message to faculty announcing the honor.

“The Many Faces of George Washington,” a national traveling exhibition that examines the real-life man behind the myth, opens at the Ingram Library of the University of West Georgia on Aug. 15.  This exhibit explores the many different facets of Washington’s life, public service, and leadership. The exhibit closes on Sept. 23.
