Distance Learning

Distance Learning is any type of education in which the learners are separated from the instructor or resources by space and time. By using new technologies, classes can be enjoyed by students at many places, often hundreds of miles apart. The University of West Georgia offers courses through the Desire2Learn Platform (CourseDen) as well as the following supported services: Blackboard Collaborate and Wikispaces. Support services for instructors and students enrolled in these courses are managed through UWG|Online, located in the College of Education, Room 243B as well as in the Honors House.
