The following explains how to set up a student e-mail account to be used with Mozilla Thunderbird. This is based on Mozilla Thunderbird 3.1.4:
1. (If this is not your first time running Thunderbird):
Go to File -> New -> Mail Account
2. Type in your name, e-mail address, and password then click “Continue”:
3. Wait for it to automatically determine the settings, and when the button becomes available, click “Create Account”:
That is all you need to do to start sending and receiving e-mail in Mozilla Thunderbird.
