Who Can Participate:

Actively enrolled UWG students. "Actively Enrolled" refers to students who are enrolled for a regular semester term. For example, enrollment in a Continuing Education course alone will not qualify you to participate in the MCA subscription.  (If you are unsure if you are elgible, contact the Helpdesk at 678-839-6587.)

How You Participate:
  1. Be sure your system meets the minimum requirements for the software you wish to obtain. (System requirements can be found here.)
  2. Contact the ITS Helpdesk at 678-839-6587 to schedule an appointment to have your software installed.
  3. Print and sign the Student MCA Release Form. (If you are unable to print, you can sign this form at the time of your installation in Room 122, Cobb Hall.)
  4. At the time of your appointment, present the following to the SITS assistant in Room 122, Cobb Hall:
    • Your student ID
    • Your signed release form (available on site)
    • Your computer (Only the CPU is required for desktops)
  5. The SITS assistant will indicate an estimated time of completion for you to return for pickup. Upon pickup you will need to sign for your pc and instructions will be provided for activating your software.
  6. Activate* your software per the provided instructions and enjoy your software!

If you live on campus, you may request a ResNet assistant to come to your dorm and install your software. To do so, contact the ITS Helpdesk at 678-839-6587 and schedule an appointment for installation. Please be sure to indicate to the Helpdesk that you wish to have the assistant come to your dorm! You will be required to show your ID and sign the necessary release forms to obtain your software. After installation you must activate* your software.

A limited number of CD's are available if you wish to obtain your software on CD. These CD's are yours to keep but you must schedule an appointment to pick up your CD at the SITS lab during the following hours:

  • Mon-Thurs 9am - 7pm
  • Fri 9am-1pm

To schedule an appointment, contact the Helpdesk at 678-839-6587. You may install your own software from the CD or you may have SITS perform the installation for you. You will be required to show your ID and sign the necessary release forms to obtain your software. After installation you must activate your software.

*Activation is required by Microsoft and must be performed by the user. Instructions will be provided for the activation.
