Faculty and Staff email may be retrieved via the web, using GMail, or by a POP3 or IMAP client. Common clients include Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, among many others.
If you opt to use POP3 or IMAP, the information you need to set up your email client for ON CAMPUS use is below. Most clients provide easy to follow instructions for defining your email settings. For many popular email clients, tutorials are available. Be sure to look under "Related Topics" below.
Incoming mail server = mail.westga.edu*
Outgoing mail server = smtp.westga.edu
Remember, your username is the part of your email address that precedes the "@" sign.
Also, many email clients may offer to "Remember your password". We do NOT recommend you take advantage of this offer. If the software "remembers" your password, chances are that you will not remember it. It also provides easy access to your email if anyone else uses your computer.
