Patricia “Trish” Causey has recently assumed the duties of Assistant Dean of Students after almost 30 years working in Residence Life.  Trish has been associated with the University of West Georgia in one capacity or another since her undergraduate days from 1969-1971.  Prior to returning to graduate school in 1978, Trish taught middle and high school history in Coweta County where she was honored as STAR Teacher in 1977.

In 1978 she returned to West Georgia as a graduate student and worked as a graduate hall director in Bowdon Hall Upon completion of her Masters Degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology she was hired as a Residence Life Coordinator for Downs Hall.  In 1982 she was promoted to Assistant Director of Residence Life for Operations and in 2001 was promoted to Associate Director of Residence Life and Student Judicial Affairs.  Most recently she served as Interim Director of Residence Life and Student Judicial Affairs during the transition period following the departure of the former Director of Residence Life.

Trish is a member of the Southeastern Association of Housing Officers, the Association of College and University Housing Officers International, and the Association for Student Judicial Affairs.  She has served on the University of West Georgia Homeland Security Committee, Critical Incident Review Team, Strategic Planning Committee, Facilities Advisory Committee and the Department Review and Assessment Committee.
