Trombonist Alex Johnson of Lawrenceville, GA will perform a half hour recital on Monday, November 16 at 8:15 PM in Kathy Cashen Recital Hall. Johnson is a music student in the trombone studio of Mr. Cale Self with the University of Georgia’s Department of Music. He is the son of Sandy and Sandra Johnson of Lawrenceville, GA and his musical interests include membership in the various department of music ensembles, involvement in the UWG band camps, and the development of his own private studio.
On Monday Alex will perform works for trombone accompanied on the piano by music professor Peter Mueller. This recital will be presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree, Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Kathy Cashen Recital Hall is located in the Humanities building on the campus of the University of West Georgia in Carrollton GA. Admission is free and the community is invited to attend.
