UWG Fall Jazz Ensemble
The UWG Jazz Ensemble will perform on Friday, November 20 at 8:00 PM in the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts. They will perform tunes by Bill Potts, Sonny Rollins and John Berry, and Duke Pearson among others. The concert will also feature vocalist Amanda Gillbreath who will sing in several of the numbers including Blue Skies by Irving Berlin and Roger Holmes, and ‘Round Midnight by Thelonious Monk and Alan Baylock. The UWG Jazz Ensemble is directed by Dr. Daniel Bakos, Director of Jazz Studies and Professor of Music Theory at the University of West Georgia. Admission is free and the community is invited to attend.
