Marching Band Camp
On behalf of Director of Bands Josh Byrd and all of the members of The Sound That Lights the South, I would cordially like to invite you to become a member of the 2011 edition of “The Sound That Lights The South.” The UWG Marching Band will begin summer rehearsals in the second week of August (please see detailed schedule below for exact dates) and will continue up to the first day of classes on August 22nd.
All prospective members MUST register online via the registration forms on this page. This applies to veterans of the band as well as new members. Please fill out both the registration and the medical form and click ‘submit form’ no later than Friday, July 8th. The numbers and instrumentation gathered from these forms will be used to generate our drill for the fall. Members who do not submit their information prior to the July 8th deadline run the risk of being excluded from the field show. NO ONE will be excluded from general membership or the pregame show.
I can’t wait to work with all of you in Carrollton come August. Please register as soon as possible and report on the appropriate date eager to get to work. Thank you for helping to make this the best edition of “The Sound That Lights The South” ever!
