Transient, Freshman, Transfer or Non-Traditional Students starting in the Spring
The Orientations for all new students starting in Spring 2014 will be held on November 22nd or January 3rd. The program will begin around 8am and run until late in the afternoon. To register for Spring Orientation you will need to log into your MyUWG account and click on the tab named "Orientation." If registration is available please follow the steps given. Your registration will not be complete until you pay the associated Orientation Registration fee.

Priority Orientation Registration:
Priority orientation registration greatly increases the chance that your transfer evaluation will be processed and available for advisement at orientation. Students who register for orientation after the priority deadline or who are enrolled in Fall 2013 courses may not have an evaluation at Orientation on January 3rd. Those who register after the priority deadline must bring with them UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS in order to assist with academic advisement and class registration on January 3rd.
All students are required to attend Orientation.
Orientation fee: The registration fee for all types of students attending Spring Orientation is $35. All orientation fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Students can registered up to two guests. The guest fee is $15 per person. The program is not designed for small children. Please make other arrangements for children as childcare is not provided.
Online orientation registration will close 5 days before the program (DECEMBER 26th) for those fully accepted still wanting to attend UWG in Spring 2014 we will accept walk-ins for the Jan 3rd orientation. Please bring with you $35 check or cash and your acceptance letter. You will also need to bring with you unofficial transcripts in order to assist with academic advisement. Only accepted students will be able to participate in orientation and course registration.
Transient, Unclassified and Auditor students
All the Spring Transient, unclassified and auditor students do not attend orientation. Orientation is reserved specifically for students who will be spending their college careers with us, seeking a degree with us and/or taking classes for credit.
Transient students are those students who are visiting UWG from their home institution for one term only.
Unclassified students are those students who are not seeking a degree during their stay at UWG.
Auditor students are those students who are not taking classes for grade credit.
You are eligible to register for Spring 2014 when Open Registration begins. Please be aware that many of our courses carry pre-requisites and Banweb will prevent you from registering for these courses. In such cases you must register in the Registrar’s Office. International Orientation is conducted by UWG's International Office. International Orientation is only for students who are studying at UWG on a F1 or J1 visa issued through the University. International students will receive information regarding international orientation with their admissions letter and their I-20 or DS2019. Contact the international student advisor for questions.
