GRC - GrantSearch:
The University of West Georgia currently subscribes to the Grants Resource Center's GrantSearch which is an online database containing more than 20,000 funding opportunity announcmenents from federal, state, local, and private sponsors. Most are geared to faculty or postdoctoral investigators, although the database does include many opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students.
To access GrantSearch:
- Send an email to Melissa Holderried Kelly at mkelly@westga.edu with the following subject line "Request for GRC user name and password". You should receive an immediate email response.
- Access the Grants Resource Center (GRC) website and log in with the user name and password provided in the email response from Sheri Dave.
- Search for funding opportunities using any of the following five criteria: academic subject, activity, funding sponsor, deadline month, and text.
You can also receive email notifications of funding opportunities from GrantSearch!
You will be able to specify the type of funding you want (grant, fellowship, training, etc.), as well as, the research categories and subcategories that align with your research areas and interests. An e-mail notification will be sent to you once a month containing all funding opportunities that match the criteria you have selected and will have a deadline occurring within the next three months. You will be able to change your areas of focus at any time. All alerts are pre-screened for higher education applicability and eligibility. This reduces the potential for faculty to find the volume of notices too great or their relevance too limited. based on keywords and topics that are specified. Foundation Center - GrantSpace:
GrantSpace is a new resource site for grant seekers launched by the Foundation Center. The Subjects tab on the GrantSpace site provides funding opportunty announcements, news, questions and answers, facts and figures, and sample proposal documents for subjects in Arts and Culture, Education, Environment, Health Care, Human Services, and more. Other Foundation Center resources are accessible throughout the site, including training events, publications, and the Foundation Directory Online. The Tools tab links to five search engines, including a library of sample documents such as successful proposals, letters of intent, and budgets for foundation grants.
Grants.gov
The Grants.gov website can be searched to locate all federal funding offered by the 26 federal grant-making agencies. You do not have to register with Grants.gov to search for grant opportunities.
National Science Foundation - Funding Opportunties
All National Science Foundation grant funding opportunities can be found on this site.
National Science Foundation also provides free e-mail notifications of recent program announcements. You can select to receive email notifications for funding opportunitities, deadlines, newsletter, reports, etc. To sign up for a free NSF e-mail subscription click here.
