Salary: $7.50/ hr
Position Description: The proposed project involves researching and implementing a marketing-based recruiting startegy for the University of West Georgia's Newnan Center. The overall goal is to create strategies to increase community awareness of the classes and programs offered at the Newnan Center and, thus, increase enrollment and retention.
The student will spend some tiem working with UCM to develop marketing strategies; conduct research and surverys with local high schools and develop plans to promote dual enrollment; conduct research and surverys with local businesses and school systems regarding graduate educational needs; develop ideas for promotional items and marketing pieces; encourage local businesses to partner with UWG thru Pack Pride Cards to offer student discounts.
Qualifications:
- UWG student living in or near Newnan
- Mass Communication or Marketing Major
- 3.0 GPA
Physical Requirements:
- The student should be able to lift 20lbs, be able to walk at least a half of mile without tiring, have access to transportation to visit schools and businesses.
Start Date: August 20, 2012
Days & Hours Needed: 20 hrs/week
