Each year the Vice President for Academic Affairs offers travel grants for UWG students for the purpose of research—either presenting research and/or creative activities at professional meetings or conducting research specific to future presentations.
In order to be considered for these travel awards, students must submit the following by the established deadlines:
1. A full abstract which has been accepted for presentation at a professional meeting
2. An application with all required signatures and a completed budget request form (email firstname.lastname@example.org for an electronic copy of the forms)
3. A letter from a faculty sponsor detailing the quality of the presentation, the selection process, the specific participation of the student (i.e. reading a paper, presenting a poster session, participating in juried art exhibits, etc.) *The deadline to apply for these travel awards is typically early October for Fall semester travel and early February for Spring semester travel.
*The deadline for Spring 2014 travel awards is February 10, 2014*
