Identity Theft Prevention
Identity theft affects thousands of Georgians each year. The typical victim is usually between 18 and 39 years old - so this is a crime that is likely to happen to one of us. A thief might use your identity to open a new bank or credit card account, set up a new phone or other utility account, or even use your identity to avoid a legal sanction - a speeding ticket, for example. So, it's important to know how identity theft could happen so we can avoid it.
