The Peer Financial Team is one of the over one hundred and fifty student organizations here on the UWG campus. Joining the PFT would be a great opportunity to get involved on campus and enhance your college experience.
How to join PFT:
Visit the Enrollment Services to meet with the PFT Staff Coordinator to get information about becoming a Peer Financial Team Member.
Other opportunities to get involved: visit UWG's Center for Student Involvement page for information on all the student organizations on campus.
ARTICLE I. NAME
Section 1. The name of this organization shall be the Peer Financial Team.
ARTICLE II. PURPOSES
Section 1. The purpose of this organization shall be:
1. Empowering each other to build effective financial management skills.
2. Equip peers with a basic understanding of personal financial management.
ARTICLE III. MEMBERSHIP AND DUES
Section 1. Membership in this organization shall be open to all University of West Georgia students, faculty and staff that complete the Peer Financial Team training.
Section 2. Membership shall be maintained by the completion of 5 hours of service each semester.
ARTICLE IV. OFFICERS
Section 1. The officers of the organization shall consist of the President and four Senior Assistants.
Section 2. Duties and Powers:
a. The duties of the president shall be to preside at all meetings, training sessions and hold office hours each week.
b. The duties of the senior assistants shall be to assist the president with organizational tasks, promotion of programs and presentations of workshops.
Section 3. Election of Officers:
a. The officers shall be appointed by the University Advisor.
ARTICLE V. MEETINGS
Section 1. The president shall call meetings when necessary.
ARTICLE VI. QUORUM
Section 1. 3/5 of the members of this organization shall constitute a quorum to transact business.
ARTICLE VII. AMENDMENTS
Section 1. Proposed amendments shall be in writing and brought to the University Advisor
Section 2. This Constitution may be amended by a 3/5 vote of the members of the organization.
ARTICLE VIII. RATIFICATION
Section 1. A 3/5 vote by the members in the newly formed organization will be necessary to ratify this constitution.
