Regents Engineering Transfer Program (RETP) Requirements*

For consideration for admission as an RETP transfer, a student must:

  1. Have completed 60 semester hours by the time of transfer, including
    • Calculus-based Physics I & II with lab (8 semester hours) with a GPA of at least 2.7 (on a 4.0 scale)
    • Chemistry I (4 sem. hrs.) with a grade of "C" or better
    • Calculus I, II, & III (12 sem. hrs.) and Differential Equations (4 sem. hrs.) with a GPA of at least 2.7
    • English and other humanities course work (9 sem. hrs.) with grades of "C" or better in these courses.
  2. Transfer with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7.
  3. Have passed both sections of the Regents' Examination.
  4. Apply for admission by the February 1st application deadline.
  5. Submit the completed Georgia Tech application for undergraduate admission. The $50 application fee is waived for RETP applicants.
  6. Submit official transcripts from all colleges attended.
  7. Submit the UWG RETP coordinator recommendation form.
