  Public Observations at the West Georgia Observatory

STUDENTS: Please note you are welcome to attend these nights, but they cannot be used for any credit towards either your lecture course or the lab course. 

 If the sky is clear, the West Georgia Observatory will be open to the public at the following times:


 August 4th          9:00 - 10:00

September 1st   8:30 - 9:30

October 8th     Lunar Eclipse   3 am - dawn    

  October 13th      8:30 - 9:30    CANCELLED

October 23rd       Solar Eclipse  Begins around 6pm

November 10th     7:30 - 8:30

December 1st     7:30 - 8:30 (The current forecast is for about 40% cloud cover tonight. We are not going to cancel the observation at this time, but please be aware that it will be less then ideal conditons if held.)


January 12th     7:00 - 8:00

February 16th    7:00 - 8:00

March 16th        8:30 - 9:30

April 13th           9:30 - 10:30

May 18th           9:30 - 10:30
