Pre-Law Course Requirements

Pre-law students should:

  1. Include in their major courses: 
    • POLS 3301 (Judicial Process: pre-requisite for POLS 4301 & 4302: usually offered in the Spring Semester)
    • POLS 4301 (Constitutional Law I)
    • POLS 4302 (Constitutional Law II)
  2. Take POLS 4603 (American Political Thought) or POLS 4602 (Modern Political Thought) as the theory requirement in the major.
  3. Include in their electives:
    • PHIL 2110 (Critical Thinking)
    • ACCT 2101 (Principles of Accounting I)
    • ECON 2105 (Principles of Macroeconomics)
    • ENGL 3200 (Creative Writing) or ENGL 3400 (Creative Nonfiction)
