Education & Interpretation

One of the core missions of any museum is to educate the public and to interpret its collections. This course introduces students to the world of museum interpretation and education.  In this class, students will develop an interpretive plan for a property or site at the Atlant History Center and create two educational programs for an upcoming exhibit.  In addition, we will talk about how museums connect with an audience and explore various philosophies and ideas about intepretation.
