Pickup & Delivery
When a job has been completed, the individual who ordered the job will be called or e-mailed at the number listed on the printing request. You may want to list both your private extension and the department number so that we may reach you quickly when your printing is ready.
Each academic department and administrative office on campus has an assigned pickup box located in the lobby of Publications and Printing. In the case of large printing orders, jobs are often placed either on the floor in front of your pickup box or stored in the receiving area of the building. In such cases, a note will be placed in the customer's box, designating that a job is ready.
You may pick up finished print jobs at P&P, or you may have your job delivered. Both Campus Mail and Central Stores assist with P&P deliveries. While most deliveries take place the same day the work is completed, it is a good idea to allow an extra day in your planning schedule for delivery. If you would like to have your printing delivered, mark the appropriate check box on your printing request form or ask the staff member who notifies you that your printing is ready.
Anticipated delivery dates assume you will keep your proof no more than 24 hours before returning it to Publications and Printing. If you need more time to check your proof, this may add time to your delivery date. The following are the standard turnaround times for duplicating and printing requests:
- Quick-Copy: many jobs, while you wait; more complex or larger jobs, 24 hours. Allow extra time if the job requires design work, hand bindery, folding, etc.
- Offset printing: 10 working days* for reprints, up to15 working days for requests that include design/proofing time
- Design and Pre-Press: 1 to 10 working days, depending on complexity. Most proofs are ready the following day.
* "Working days" are defined as Monday through Friday.
