EDP Guidelines
An EDP is good for one calendar year from the date of approval.

What needs an EDP?
1. All personal computer or server purchases require a signed EDP.
2. Any computer peripheral, classroom technology or software costing over $5,000.00 requires a signed EDP.
3. Any single purchase action $25,000.00 or more that is made up of items in 1 and/or 2 requires a signed EDP.
4. Consulting contracts for IT personnel require a signed EDP.
5. Any software that interfaces with Banner or Peoplesoft, regardless of cost, requires a signed EDP.
6. Any software or hardware purchase that will be maintained by an outside or third party vendor needs a signed EDP, regardless of cost.
What does not need an EDP?
1. Renewal of existing software maintenance contracts.
2. Twelve (12) month hardware maintenance contracts.
3. New or renewals of copier contracts.
