What are Living Learning Communities?
UWG living learning communities are a great example of our committment to scholarly achievement, creative expression, and service to humanity. They also help you make your mark in your own way.
Living-learning communities (LLCs) are specialized living environments for small groups of residential students. LLCs center on a specific theme while integrating related academic courses, custom programming and faculty and staff mentoring. Research indicates that students who participate in LLCs earn better grades and are more satisfied with the overall college experience than other students. Participating in an LLC at UWG counts as a First-Year Experience (FYE) program, but there are programs for all academic classifications – not just freshmen! Living-learning communities are small and space is limited, so apply early!
