The ARC - Academic Resource Center

                                                              

The Academic Resource Center (ARC) is now open! The center will be open from Sunday - Wednesday, 7pm to 1am. EXCEL center tutors are available from 8-10pm. The center will aid and assist students to reach scholastic excellence by providing a study space/lounge area for students to use after hours. In addition, the center will be a referral site for students to get additional help as needed. We will have prize drawings, incentives and small refreshments for those that utilize the center. The goal of the ARC is to aid and assist students on the path to scholastic excellence by providing a stimulating space/lounge area and tutoring services.  The ARC is also a referral site for students to get additional academic support. The ARC provides incentives and refreshments for its students aim to increase scholastic achievement.”

Current Events:

1) Tuesday, February 26th, 2013 @7pm – The writing center will be at the ARC conducting a writing workshop. They will cover common writing mistakes and stay till 9pm to help students with papers or answer questions.

2) Monday, March 4th, 2013 @7pm  – Lizz butts (Health Services) will be at the ARC conducting a stress and management workshop. They will cover how to balance academics and personal life.

3) Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 @7pm  – The writing center will be at the ARC conducting a citation workshop. They will cover how to do research and properly cite sources (MLA, APA, and Chicago style) and stay till 9pm to help students with papers or answer questions.
