Check in Checklist

  • Complete your Room Condition Report to ensure that the description of your room is accurate. See page 16 of this publication for more details.
  • Hook up your TV to the cable outlet. While your basic cable service is also provided, you can call Charter Communications at 770.832.7225 to request and pay for premium channels. Also, tune in to Channel 20, ResView, for information on upcoming events.
  • Prepare for the arrival of your new roommate. Look inside for more suggestions on how to start the year off right. Meet the other residents on your floor.
  • Explore your hall. Look for laundry rooms, vending areas, study lounges, game rooms, etc. You’ll find a description of services later in this book.
  • Familiarize yourself with the emergency evacuation procedure and fire safety information posted on the back of your room door. More information and tips for keeping you and your possessions safe is contained in this document.
  • Get to know your residence hall staff. you can find information on each member of the staff in your residence hall office area.
  • Read and understand all University and Residence Hall rules and regulations. This handbook contains descriptions of residence hall polices. The Uncatalog is a good source for more thorough descriptions of University policies. In addition, the discipline process is outlined on the next to last page.
  • If you have a car, make sure you have the appropriate sticker and familiarize yourself with the correct parking lots in your area of campus.
