RAs are trained to be your primary resource for information and assistance with any concern, problem, or need. There will be an RA on duty from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. every night in specified areas. RAs are selected because of their enthusiasm, sensitivity, ability to relate to others, knowledge about the University, and ability to accept responsibility. Get to know your RA! He/she will be your key resource to the services, programs, and policies of West Georgia.
A Programmer
Cultural, social, and intellectual programs in each of the residence halls are essential to the RAs role as an agent for the development of the community. This responsibility is a broad one. The goal is to respond to the needs and interests of all students on the floor and to enrich the learning experience. The RA is available to help you implement your ideas.
A Communicator
RAs are responsible for communication with the RLC or RD and the Residence Life Office. In addition, they communicate University activities and information to the students on their floors.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Residence Life team either as an RA or an RD, please contact your building supervisor or the Residence Life Office at 678.839.6426.
