ELIGIBILITY
Summer housing is available to individuals who are enrolled (attending a Summer session) at the University of West Georgia during the Summer months. Note: Students can only reside on campus during the term in which they are enrolled. We cannot house students who are not taking summer classes. Students who are not going to be enrolled in summer classes but are seeking summer housing due to academic commitments (i.e. summer research), please submit an email to reslife@westga.edu to determine if you are eligible for summer housing.

Space is at a premium, and rooms are assigned on a first come-first served basis. Due to the University’s academic calendar, University Housing will offer transition housing, please refer to that section below for more information. * Session I housing will be available in Arbor View Apartments only.
RATES
All rates identify specific room types and are listed per person. Room types specify general amenities and the number of beds in each room. For the 2009 Summer Term, the Department of Residence Life will offer two different types of residence halls to Summer residents. All buildings on campus are air-conditioned and most rooms have private or semi private bathrooms.

TRANSITION HOUSING
A $150 non-refundable transition fee will be assessed to residents who would need to stay on campus during the transition period between the end and beginning of each semester. There are two transition periods during the Summer 2009 term, those period are as follows:
• May 8th- May 18th
• July 30th- August 10th
Residents who request to stay during those times will be billed for each transition period in which they need Interim Housing.
BUILDINGS
We are offering two residence hall options for the Summer Term. All buildings on campus are air-conditioned and many include private or shared bathrooms.
Tyus Hall rooms offer suite style housing accommodations with shared bathrooms and common space (dependent upon the room type selected). To learn more about Tyus, click here (hyperlink to Tyus Hall Page).
Arbor View Apartments offer the greatest level of amenities. All apartments have a full kitchen (dishwasher, sink, full size refrigerator), a private bedroom, and a shared bathroom with a maximum of one other resident. The living area in the apartment has a full size couch, club chair, and coffee table. Community features include a game room, large group meeting/study space and a workout facility (treadmills, elliptical machines, weights, etc.)
