Training

In preparation for the University’s conversion to ADP for payroll processing, the training sessions listed below have been established to provide further information regarding this conversion.  All employees should plan to attend at least one section that is applicable to your job responsiblity.  During these sessions you will receive important information about the Shared Services project and you will receive a demonstration of how to enter data into the ADP system. 

Helpful User Guides have been posted to the Shared Services site. 


SESSION A
Bi-Weekly and Monthly Employee Non-Manager/Approver Training Sessions
These sessions are for bi-weekly and monthly employees (faculty and staff) that will not be approving another employee's time. These employees will not be utilizing a time clock in the new system and currently enter number of hours worked on a bi-weekly timecard or enter exception time (vacation/sick leave) on a monthly leave report.  These employees do not supervise or manage any other employees and they do not currently sign off on any other employee's (full-time, student, casual labor, etc.) timecard.

SESSION B Bi-Weekly and Monthly Employee Manager/Approver Training Sessions
These sessions are for bi-weekly and monthly employees (faculty and staff) who will be approving another employee's time.  These employees currently enter number of hours worked on a bi-weekly timecard or enter exception time (vacation/sick leave) on a monthly leave report.  These employees supervise or manager other employees and they currently sign off on another employee's (full-time, student casual labor, etc) timecard or monthly leave report.

10 Month Faculty Training Sessions
10 month faculty who report exception sick time on a monthly basis should attend one of the sessions listed above depending on whether or not he/she is a manager, supervisor or approver of another employees time. 

Student Employee Training Sessions
Student employees will be required to report their time using the Time Stamp method.  It will be the responsibility of the department to instruct their student employees on how to utilize the ADP system.  Registration and instruction guides regarding the Time Stamp method can be found in the User Guide section of the Shared Services Website. 

To register for the appropriate session:

1. Select the session you wish to attend.
2. Email pdurroug@westga.edu with the session # you plan to attend.  To ensure we have adequate seating, it is extremely important to pre-register for the session.
