Biography

Emily Hunt earned a Bachelor of Music in Theory/Composition and Master of Music in Music History from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Ms. Hunt served as a founding member and president of the student MTNA chapter at ULL, where she helped organize the inaugural Department of Music Chamber Music Ensemble Competition. Additionally, she worked as a Graduate Assistant, teaching classes to both music majors and non-majors, served on the ULL Department of Music Student Advisory Committee, performed with the ULL Wind Ensemble and Orchestra, and assisted with the ULL Band Department Music Library. She is an active clarinetist and has performed with several community ensembles throughout the southeast. Ms. Hunt’s future plans include pursuing a Doctorate in Musicology.
