Biography
Dr. Cristine G. Goldberg is an Assistant Professor of Media Services in the College of Education's Media program. She teaches graduate courses in the field of school library media. Her research is focused upon visual literacy and the use of visual resources in education. Publications include the use of information literacy with Notable Books in social studies, visual literacy in Asian culture and connecting visual principles from Bang with a project for student awareness of visual literacy. Prior to her appointment at UWG, Dr. Goldberg worked as high school teacher with special needs students and a teacher of the gifted. She also worked for 25 years as a media specialist in the K-12 setting in Georgia public schools. She began work at UWG in 2003 as an adjunct faculty in media and joined the faculty as a full-time instructor in 2007
