    -CATI survey of registered voters assessing knowledge of Carroll County's comprehensive plan update
  • Murphy Center for Public Service at the University of West Georgia (March 2008)
    -Offered sample design advice and services for RDD public opinion surveyassessing public support in Georgia for state legislative modificatons
  • Carroll Tomorrow, Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, and Southwire (April-May 2008)
    -Conducted screeners and CATI interviews of businesses in Carroll County for the 2008 Existing Industry Survey
  • Ambivalence toward Crime Control and Due Process Using SIM (March-May 2008)
    -Principal Investigator: Catherine Jenks, Ph.D. RDD CATI survey that examined the conflict citizens encounter regarding crime control and due process. The Similarity-Intensity Model (SIM) for testing attitudinal ambivalence was tested as a viable method via CATI to ascertain the presence and extent of ambivalence among citizens regarding the government providing counsel to criminal defendants who cannot afford an attorney.
  • 2008 Election: Get Out the Vote Phone-A-Thon, Sponsored by the Department of Political Science and the EXCEL Center at UWG (October 2008)
    -Freshmen political science students placed voting reminder calls to over 1,000 residents in Carroll County the week before the November presidential election as part of the iServe Mentor Program.
  • Carroll County Perceptions of Water Issues Exploratory Survey (November 2008)
    -Principal Investigators: Todd Matthews, Ph.D. and Laurel Holland, Ph.D. Exploratory survey utilizing CATI to examine public perceptions of water issues in Carroll County and support for legislation and taxes to improve water quality and availability.
