Women’s Studies Faculty Membership Requirements
Women’s Studies faculty members are individuals who are committed to the maintenance and growth of the Women’s Studies Program at the University of West Georgia. Some Women’s Studies faculty members teach courses in the area of women’s studies, while others serve the program through offering Independent Study hours related to women’s studies, coordinating events and student organizations, and supporting the needs of the program.
Women’s Studies Course Requirements
Courses that are applicable toward the Women’s Studies Minor must focus at least 50% of the course content on women, women’s issues, gender, and/or feminist theory.
Women’s Studies Advisory Committee
The Women’s Studies Advisory Committee assists the Women’s Studies Coordinator in evaluating and promoting the growth of the Women’s Studies Program. Activities include but are not limited to coordinating events, marketing and evaluating courses and curriculum.
