Using Special Collections
To visit our Reading Room, please see our hours of operation and map with directions. It is possible to make an appointment outside of regular posted hours. Due to university schedules, it is advisable to call ahead if you are coming from any distance to make sure the campus is open.
Several of the collections have access restrictions placed by the donors, which the Special Collections staff must honor. Online finding aids to the collections are "under construction." However, most of the materials have a record in the Library's catalog.
Due to the unique nature of the Special Collections, all researchers are asked to complete a registration form that includes name, address, phone number, email address, drivers license number, nature of research, anticipated product of research and specific materials used.
Not all items from Special Collections can be photocopied or scanned, depending on their physical condition. We will do our best to accommodate the researcher's needs. For more information, call Special Collections at 678-839-6361 or email sdurham@westga.edu.
