UWG|Online Walking Techs Are Coming

The UWG|Online Help Desk will be sending out Walking Techs (help desk student assistants) around campus to offer support and assistance with CourseDen to faculty, staff and students. These visits are to provide an opportunity to offer in-person service to CourseDen users and provide a personal touch to our compliment of services. So look for our Walking Techs as they bring distance education to life!

• UWG|Online Training: Blackboard Collaborate and Virtual Classrooms will be held tomorrow at 9 - 10:30 a.m. in the FDC (Faculty Development Center)/ Old Auditorium.

Did you know that we have a new tool that will be replacing Wimba Classroom? Blackboard Collaborate is now integrated into CourseDen (D2L). This upgraded virtual space provides mobile and wireless access to allow your students to communicate with you. During this 90-minute session, we will explore Blackboard Collaborate and how you can use this tool to create Virtual Office Hours or a synchronous classroom space for your Online or Technology-Enhanced course, which can serve as a great backup for those ‘unexpected’ disasters that can occur!

• ADP Manager Training: ***CORRECTION***ADP Manager Training will be held on July 1 at 2 p.m. in Row Hall room 319. This course is for both bi-weekly and monthly employees (faculty and staff) who supervise and approve another employee's (full-time, student, casual labor, etc.) timecard. This course will instruct participants on how to enter their own hours worked or exception time into the ADP eTime system. It will also provide instruction on how to approve another employee's timecard. Participants of this course should be the supervisor of at least one other employee.
