Maggie Worth, Director of Communications and Strategy
Maggie joined UCM in February 2011. Her key strengths are research, strategy and copywriting. Her mission is to help increase awareness of UWG and its people through messaging, event promotion and other marketing initiatives.
Before joining UCM, Maggie was a freelance writer and small business consultant, specializing in instructional writing, training, business communications, and sales and project management training. She is the credited technical writer for Essentials of Healthcare Access Service currently in use in the Technical College System of Georgia, as well as the senior writer for Introduction to Health Information Technology (Healthcare Revenue Institute 2010). She has contributed locally to print publications, including Fayette Woman magazine, and conducted resume-writing workshops through Fayette-area departments of recreation.
Maggie has more than 15 years of experience in marketing, sales and project management. She developed and operated the second-largest merchant-owned ATM program in the United States and has worked with clients such as Ford, ExxonMobil, Bank of America and Home Depot. After an early high school graduation, Maggie earned a degree in Political Science from the University of Rio Grande in Rio Grande, Ohio. She is an active member of the Business Women of Fayette and Coweta, serving on the marketing and publications committee and as chair of the legislative committee.
