Web Committee
In October 2005, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Thomas J. Hynes established a Web redesign work group and charged them with designing and implementing a fresh Web presence for the university. Actions to be accomplished included:
- Create an entirely new visual online identity. New departmental templates will be developed for voluntary use throughout the campus to create a consistent site.
- The redesign process will target the key audiences identified through the integrated marketing process: prospective students, alumni, donors and friends of the university. Internal users will be the secondary audience.
- Throughout the process, strategies for soliciting input for usability will be sought from both on and off campus audiences.
- Investigate the advantages of a content management system to be implemented in conjunction with the new design.
- Develop policies and procedures for maintaining the Web site.
