Announcements:
• UWG is transitioning its email and personal calendar services over to Google Apps beginning in April for faculty and staff. These town hall meetings will give a brief overview of the transition to Google, outline what you can expect during the transition, and allow for an open question and answer time. You can learn more about our transition by visiting here.

Events:
• Health and Safety Week events for today:
11 am-3 pm – AIDs Health Foundation out of Atlanta will be offering free HIV screenings with their mobile unit parked outside of the UCC
11 am-3 pm – Peer Educators with Health Services will be providing sexual health information, free condoms and incentives for Spring Break
11 am-1 pm – “It’s A Brain Thing” – Biofeedback on the Brain with Counseling & Career Development staff outside of the UCC
7:30 pm – SEXED: Surviving Spring Break in TLC 1305 with nationally renowned speaker, River Huston, sponsored by the RX Committee with Responsible Sexuality
• The UWG Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Daniel Bakos, will present an evening of favorites tonight at 8:15 pm in the Townsend Center. Admission is free. Please join us for this exciting evening of music.
• The Center for Diversity and Inclusion is pleased to welcome faculty, staff, and graduate students to our Fourth Conversation Series Program, scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, in the Hubbard Dining Room at Z-6. The program is from 11:30 am-1:30 pm. Dr. Yan Yang, Assistant Professor, Educational Psychology-College of Education, will speak on the topic “A Pictorial View of Women in the 21st - China and US". • The UWG Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Josh Byrd, performs on Thursday, March 14, at 8:15pm in the Townsend Center. Please join us for an evening of wonderful performances. Admission is free.
• The Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) and the Anthropology Department at the University of West Georgia are pleased to announce the fourth annual Multicultural Festival, to be held on Thursday, March 14, from 12 - 5 pm in the Campus Center Ballroom. The Multicultural Festival is one of CDI’s signature programs and is designed to provide knowledge of other cultures and build partnerships with various external multicultural communities. The Festival will consist of cultural displays, entertainment, and food. Performances and other activities will include music from the Andes (Peru) by the Apu Inka musical group, African Drumming by The Africa Rhythm Project, Chinese Bamboo Flute instrument, Liberian traditional dances, Native American dances, Calligraphy workshop, African American, Native American and Asian arts, and opportunities for Henna tattoos by Elegant Henna.
