Announcements:
• The UWG Police Department is offering a free women’s self-defense course. The R.A.D. Basic Self-Defense course is a nationally acclaimed program of self-defense that teaches techniques, tactics, and habits to keep a woman safe in today’s unsafe world. Taught by certified instructors, the course begins tonight, and continues for a total of 4 consecutive Thursdays. It will be held in the Campus Center aerobics room from 7-9 pm.
• UWG Auxiliary Services and the UWG Alumni Association invite you to a night of fun at Six Flags on Friday, April 5, 7 pm – midnight.

• For eligible employees planning to participate in the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) for Summer Semester 2013, please note the TAP application deadline is April 15, 2013. The TAP form can be printed from the Human Resources web site and is also available in the Human Resources Office (Room 301, Aycock Hall). Please make sure your form is completely and accurately filled out to avoid any problems (please list your student ID number of the institution you plan to attend). It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure the TAP form is received in the Human Resources Office by the deadline.
TAP participants will register for approved courses online via their BanWeb account. TAP participants may register for approved courses online in BanWeb beginning on May 1, 2013. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure they register for the courses they have been approved for under TAP. The UWG Registrar’s Office can assist participants with any problems encountered with registration.
Please remember that TAP participants must go through the regular student admissions process, if not already admitted. The Undergraduate Admissions Office and the appropriate Graduate Admissions areas have application and document deadline dates for each semester. Please contact the applicable office for their deadlines and requirements. You may access the Tuition Assistance Policy here. Participants should familiarize themselves with the TAP policy.
