UWG Daily Report
• The Bookstore has decided to end our end-of-year inventory close-out sale today, due to any departmental purchases made after end-of-day (6/13) will be from FY14 funds. Hopefully this will assist departments with any confusion regarding purchases from FY13 funding. If you are still interested in making a purchase please contact Barbara Treadwell at the Bookstore via extension 9-5563.
• The Center for Diversity and Inclusion held its annual sock drive during the month of April/May in recognition of Older Americans Month. This year the sock drive was again co-sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA), Pan Hellenic Council, National Pan Hellenic Council, Interfraternity Council, and BSA.
A total of 512 socks were delivered by UWG students and the CDI office to four nursing homes in Carrollton (Carrollton Manor, Carrollton Nursing & Rehabilitation, the Oaks of Carrollton, and Pine Knoll Nursing and Rehabilitation) and Haralson Nursing and Rehabilitation in Haralson County.
Much appreciation to the UWG community for the NEW sock donations and your commitment to seniors!
